    Description

1928 James A Wehn City Of Seattle Lamp Post Medallion
Up for sale is an exquisite example of the fine work of James A. Wehn .
This medallion was used in 1928 to be attached to the lamp posts around
Seattle.  It states "City of Seattle  1869".  The raised center shows two fish.
    It measures 4" around.
James A. Wehn was a noted sculptor and created Chief Seattle and other well-
known works.  In 1967 he gave his collection to The Washington  State Historical
    Society.
Own a piece of Seattle history.  Are any of the lamp posts still around?
This piece survived and is in good condition as is evident by the photos
.   Wonderful addition for a Seattle history
    buff's collection!
