    Description

    Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Souvenir Card B39, issued for the Milcopex '77 stamp show.
    The card shows the designs of two stamps on the subject of polar exploration.  The intaglio design on the left was taken from the 4c stamp issued in 1959 marking 50 years of Arctic Explorations (from Peary to the atomic submarine), Scott 1128.  The design on the right is from the 3c stamp issued to note the second Antarctic expedition of Admiral Byrd, Scott 733.  It was printed in intaglio as was the original stamp.
    The card is in mint condition.
