This is the
VERY RARE and RETIRED
Fred Stone collector set which includes
The Triple Crown Bowl
and the
Riders On The Rain Lithograph
from American Artists. Released in 1991 as a matched numbered set, these are extremely rare to find, especially together.
This beautiful bowl features the artwork of world renowned equine artist - Fred Stone. The image on the bowl depicts the two great Thoroughbreds,
Sunday Silence
and
Easy Goer
, as they battled for the triple crown in 1989.
On the left is Sunday Silence with Pat Valenzuela aboard giving a victory salute in the Kentucky Derby. In the center, Sunday Silence and Easy Goer are shown in a tremendous stretch drive to the wire in the Preakness Stakes, with Sunday Silence winning by a nose. On the right, Easy Goer crosses the finish line all by himself in a victory in the Belmont Stakes.
This gorgeous bowl was hand decorated by the skilled artisans at Pickard China, America's oldest and most highly regarded manufacturer of fine china. Each bowl is lavishly appointed with twenty-four carat gold throughout.
The bowl is 5 inches high by 9 5/8 inches in diameter. It is in perfect mint condition, no chips or cracks. It comes in it's original box, which is in good shape and shows normal shelf wear.
Limited to only 5,900 worldwide, this bowl and print are matched number 837.

The image size on this signed and numbered print is 21 inches wide by 14 1/2 inches high. It is unframed and will be rolled and shipped in a tube, the same way it came from American Artists.
The print is in perfect condition, no rips, folds or tears. The bowl and print were issued together with a single hand numbered certificate of authenticity.
