Large Art Deco Vintage Bronze Hippo Figure Hippopotamus Statue

Description

This charming old guy is made of bronze with a hollow interior and a lovely applied deep green patina. He/she measures 12 1/2” long , 6 1/2” at the widest and about 7” at the highest point. The hippo is modeled in an Art Deco or cubist style making him quite unique and very attractive. He is not signed but has been attributed by another internet seller as being Dutch in origin and made by Jaap or James Cheese sometime in the 1960 s. The hippo is in excellent condition.
