This pilot helmet was made at a Moscow factory for the Soviet Army
during the Soviet era in 1979.
A pilot headset, complete with a radio headset, is a special headgear
designed for conducting external radio communication
and internal telephone communication in military equipment, as well as protecting
crew members from injury and noise, and are included in single
transportable sets of spare parts, tools and accessories.
These helmets were mainly used by pilots of bombers, helicopters and cadets
of aviation schools, in frontal aviation and air defense aviation, with rare exceptions.
These flight helmets have been in use from 1945 to the present day.

Pilot headsets are produced in two types: summer (with cotton lining) and winter (with fur).
