Description:
A vintage and beautiful small and rather substantial figurine of an Irish setter dog. We believe this is a bronze figurine of an Irish Setter standing on all four with his tail extending straight backwards. The dog is a dark brown color and is heavy for its size (weighs 12.5 ounces and is ~5 1/2" long). The sculpture shows details of the dog's face and hair on its body as well as its muscle tone. A beautiful figurine of one of the most favored dogs. Would make a great addition to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Uncertain, but most likely mid to late 1900s (mid to late 20th century).
Origin:
Purchased at an estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size:
The dog measures ~5 1/2" in length, is ~3 5/8" at its highest, and ~1 3/4" at its widest. The piece weighs about 12 1/2 ounces.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece:
This is a great vintage figurine of a great dog. A very nice collectible or decorative piece. It would make a great addition to your collection.
Condition:
The figurine itself is in very good condition. It has no breaks, no repairs, and no losses. The dog's colors are nice and with minor losses or rubbings at some spots such as the end of the tail and the top of the dog's head, where the brown coloring is a bit lighter. These are not an issue and rather give the piece a nice look. The weight of the dog in relation to its size is what leads us to say it is made of bronze (Weighs 12.5 ounces and is 5 1/2" long and does not stick to a magnet).
